Hello! I have been using a planner for over a year now, and I was excited to get started and even now I am still excited about using one. I started using a planner in hopes that it would help me to keep up with all that I have to do. I am retired, single with no children and I asked myself "what do I need a planner for"? So, I started using one and to my surprise I had so much to do that I wondered to myself "how did I ever remember to do all of this before"? So, now I am a planner girl. So, let's get started with how I plan. First, I gather all of the things that I will be using to decorate my pages. I like to do this so that I will not have to keep looking for what I want. I started out using a Webster Pages personal planner but I found that it was to small for me so I then started using the Carpe Diem A5 planner and it is the right size for me. I like color so I use a lot of washi tape and colorful stickers. I don't use a lot of stickers because I don't like clutter. I put the washi tape on the page to frame the page and to divide the days on the page. I place the stickers on each day that correspond to what I am doing or what looks good to me. Planning should be whatever your creative mind leads you to do. Planning should be fun and stress free. Remember to use your imagination and just have fun and do what works for you. I hope that this has been helpful to you and that you have fun planning and decorating your planner.

Don't have any photos for your weekly or monthly scrapbooking pages? This can happen to most of us especially those of us that are single, divorced and not have children. I know because I came to this point when I finished up with my family books. Now what??? I learned that we need to set some goals for ourselves. So I did this and low and behold it made a lot of difference for me. So, I decided that I would share what I came up with as my goals in hope that it would inspire you to do the same or come up with things that will help you. MY GOALS: 1. Take more pictures of myself, friends, places or things 2. Save memorabilia from special places visited, restaurants you ate at or stores where you shopped. 3. Do more journaling. Wrote a story about a dream you had or a story told to you by a friend. 4. Pay more attention to nature and record it. 5. Take a day trip and make sure that you take your camera wit you. 6. Read a book or books and journal about them. These are the goals that I came up with for myself but I hope that they will be helpful for you. This is the angel dashboard that I made for my planner. Making these are really easy. I laminated it so that if I want to I could add sticky notes to it. This is a clear dashboard that came with the planner. I love what it says: It's a brand new day! It is in gold foil. I use one section of my planner for my Bible Study. I use the SOAP method for my bible study and it help me to understand the scriptures better. |
